Hello, for some reason my frame rate is capped at 30 fps. I have never seen it go above 30 fps except on opening logo screens. Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it? Thanks!

its capped at 30, a lot of games are. its normal and nothing to worry about.
because the human eye can only see 24-27 frames a second. anything more is pointless. movies and tv shows are filmed between 24-30 FPS as well. i never understood why games are capped. i guess it reduces system resources. i dont know. usualy people try to get 60+ FPS so when the frame rates do dip in high graphic areas or explosions, it wont dip below 25-30 FPS. there are many arguments and the most fun is when people claim to "see" the difference from a 30 FPS display and a 60 FPS game. especially when they dont know the facts. and base it all on a e-peen feeling. i also laugh at those with 100+ FPS when their monitor is set to 60 Hz. Don't Get Pissed At Me. If I Didn't Point Out The Obvious, Someone Else Would. |

Your monitor's refresh rate is probably set at 60 Hertz, vsync is turned on in the game but your PC can't render the game at 60 Hertz so it it will then drop the refresh rate of your game by half (i.e. 30 fps). Turn vsync off.
