Bought myselfd the game "R6 vegas 2" yesterday. Installed it and autopatched it. After that, when I klick on "Play" the CD-DVD spins around and a popup window tells me to "Insert the correct CD ...bla bla".
I've got Windows Vista and my computer meets up to the hardware requirements. Ironically, this is the first game in a looong time i've spent money on and I now see why... =(. Plz, I need help 'coz I still want to give the game a try! |

It's the copy protection on the disk!
Are you using a SATA DVD drive by any chance? I have several computers here and my SATA drives won't read the V2 disk. But, I still have some IDE drives and those will. If you have an IDE laying around, give that a try. There is also another solution that Ubisoft offered many months ago, but you will have to do a search for it as I was already suspended once for posting a link to that solution!! |

Thank you, guys for responding! Actually I had/have Poweriso installed and running. Turned it off but no approvement was made. Found myself a shortcut around the problem that I don´t recommend other players.
Hardware solutions are not accepted in 2009. The game´s requriements were ok tom me and I purchased the game; ...FAIL!! =( Poor running on my (1 year old)computer despite graphic tuning made me put the game aside for "Modern Warfare" instead. Sad, Ubisoft! Thx, though, for good old memories from the first R6.... Over ´n Out /Peter |
