This really boggles my mind... why Ubisoft will not spend 6 hours of their time to fix the bugs in the POTENTIALLY GREAT GAME they sold to us.

Honestly? I don't care if you can't fix the stupid crashes, I almost never crash anyway and there is more than 1 server at any time if a server crashes.

But you can't fix a stupid *** bug like the 8th players being hidden by the bottom text? You can't fix the incendiary bug where the indicator shows for a long time? Seriously, its a f'n COPY AND PASTE FIX! Copy your frag code into the incendiary code, replace with incendiary references, BAM FIXED. What kind of game company gives their consumers a patch that ruins the game every damn time? Most of us paid $50 for this game, THE LEAST YOU COULD DO IS FIX THE SIMPLEST BUGS IN THE GAME FOR US.

#1. Players stick to each other (MAJOR PROBLEM, IT WASN'T IN THE GAME PRIOR TO THE 1.01 PATCH)
#2. Incendiary indicator doesn't go away
#3. 8th player hidden
#4. BLINDFIRE WITH SNIPER IS 100% ACCURATE, CMON UBI GET WITH THE PROGRAM.

I prefer 100% accurate no scope over blindfire 100%, dig up your vegas 1 code and fix this garbage.

Those are the only bugs that _bug_ people, mainly the first one. Four little bugs that Ubi can't squash? What the hell. I have no game design experience whatsoever, but I bet I could walk into your office and fix those bugs within one of your full work days. Do us a favor and spend a day to make a patch for us, please. Its not too much to ask, I know you guys probably only got like 1 person left on the R6 dev team, but that is enough to fix it if they made the game in the first place.

The reason most clans don't play this game is because of people sticking together, its basically impossible to play a Team Survival match when everybody is glued together in the spawn.

Totally agree. Ubi should definately fix all these bugs and also the looping sound issue. Also A.I issues are really bad.
We want patch 1.04!!

Although I do like Random Respawn in Team Deathmatch.

The option in SADS dont work after the first round and switches map, Everything resets. Once in awhile I like the option to play fix spawns and not random.

Many others like item restrictions and HS.

Although There is a HS patch out there that forces the mode to play. Thanks to "R6V2 Community" - I had to make sure proper credit gots to the right people.

Dont know why the 8th player text was change in the first place. When 1.02 you can see them perfectly. There was no need to change the text. I still believe 1.02 was a better patch. Less Lag and didnt stick to players.

To answer your main question .. Ubisoft is only interested in rushing new unfinished games to market in hopes that unsuspecting customers will buy them.

Vegas 1 was unfinished and remains broken today.

Vegas 2 was an expensive expansion pack for Vegas 1, and in some ways it actually offered less content than Vegas 1 did.
It also is broken, never fixed, and received no support from Ubisoft.
The last attempt at a patch was well over 1 year ago.(1.03)

Take a look at the Far Cry 2 forums, another heavily hyped game that was released unfinished and was also never fixed and finished.

It's just the nature of what Ubisoft has become.
A company interested in a quick dollar at the expense of their customer base.

I do think their fraudulent practice is catching up with them, as there is not one gamer I know who has bought or will buy an Ubisoft game since Vegas 2.

Ubisoft has a long way to go to regain the respect of it's gamers!!

Yup, Tom Clancy Hawx is going down that road and call of juarez 2 Bound in blood. Thanks Ubisoft. Almost every forum I go to has something to say about this. Gametrailers, Gamespot, IGN. The worse one come from Ubisoft's own forums. How sad is that?

Ubisoft needs to focus on the little easy to make games for kids and hand helds.

They need to sell off the Rainbow Six, Far Cry, and other properties to game companies that can actually program and support their products...

The COD4 communities are still thriving and sales on that 2 year old game are still solid.

The lack of map editor, sdk, demo, and true Stand Alone Dedicated Server that could run in a server farm meant that the Vegas series was dead before it started. Had they actually supported the product a little it still would have died but died a little slower.

Not to forget, Please stop giving us a port version of the game. Developers like Bethesda build their games from the ground up for all different platform and it runs so smooth...

I have been involved in the Vegas forums for over 2 years, and I don't recall ever seeing a dev. here.

Ubi Vigil, a community manager, was here in July of 2008 when he posted in a 1.03 bug list thread that he would take the many problems back to the devs and report back!
But nothing ever materialized from that!!

The reason why nothing will happen is because it would cost UBI money to make a 1.04patch with no possibility of a return in profit (in their eyes).

You also have to consider that they might hose up the SADS server crash fix and the High Stakes mode fix in the process rendering them both inoperable thus making 1.04x worse then 1.03.

how long would it take to fix the looping gun sounds, and incendiary grenade cursor. i guess 1/2 days at most.

Well, over 2 years so far since this problem was also in Vegas 1.
So, that is a tough question to answer!

Obviously .. Ubisoft doesn't have an answer to that question!!

A good dev. team could likely fix it in a few hours!!

I really have to laugh at this. I signed up in 2002 because of games being released broken. Created an account so I could figure out how to play a new game that was release unplayable. Here we are 7 years later and still buggy unsupported games.

Problem is they release games that would be great if it got support like other games.

And yet I stopped by to see if there is any news on a new R6 game.
