Im on xp pro SP3... 2.2 duo core intel on a gigabyte MB (2gig o ram)...madcatz xbox controller...ati 4550 hd graphics card(1gig) I deleted all the other controllers from the ini file except for any saying xbox controller... I input the values from the above poster(vid 1848 & pid 18198) with the UseXinput=true for all of the xbox controllers listed in the ini file and i deleted the rest of the crap... works like a champ now...

I am the administrator on vista but I still can't save the PCKellerjoysticks file. any ideas?

I had the same problem when trying to get the X-Box Cotroller set up. I also ran as administator and couldn't save the files. I went in and gave everyone adminitrative rights and at that point I could save the changes I made.I also read a post that stated "right click the install icon and select run as administrator. I have never checked this out so I don't know if it works or not. Good luck.

Great post guys it worked perfectly for me. The only problem I have now is I can't shoot. The button that is supposed to shoot keeps strafing any ideas? I have tried the various settings and none seem to solve it. Also which one would be closest to the 360 settings? Thanks guys.

Don't know if anyone will read this, but I just did all of this stuff, finally scanned the device for new hardware settings as my last resort and it actually worked and i felt like I just won a world title or something. I have no freakin idea how you guys would ever know how to do any of that stuff but I'm really glad that you did and that you took the time to explain it all. Thank you very much.

I use pinnacle game profiler. You can use this third party gamepad software to any game. You can custom set every key/buttons to anything. It got annoying for me when some games couldnt use the xbox360 controller but now I dont have any problems. Even the wireless works with this and would work with Rainbow vegas 2. Hope this helps.

i easily used the mod when i first got the game and it hasn't failed me EVER.

i had that problem, what did work was simply restarting my system

mouse and keyboard is far better for this type of game, why use console controllers? are you nuts?, they are just a arcade gamers poor replacement for a good quality mouse and keyboard and a steering wheel and joystick for those console players who dont have mouse and keyboard as an option!..
