Please list your computer stats and maybe someone can be of help. Just to many things that it can be to be guessing at a problem. But if we have your stats I am sure someone can help you out with your problem.

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Sounds like overheating to me. Mine did the same thing when it was hot in my house. Then I got a new CPU heatsink and a new case with two extra fans, and it's been running fine ever since. Smile

I have the fifth freedom... so watch out, here I come

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
RAM: 2Gb DDR2 667Mhz
VGA: Asus Geforce 8600GT 256Mb
Motherboard: MSI K9N Neo V2
System: Windows XP 32b

I think that it is no problem of overheating. I had same problem with Splinter Cell Double Agent but other games (Crysis, CoD 4,...) run normally.

Not to start an arguemeet here but I don't care what UBI says. You are at the bottom end of all the stats for running the game. UBI says you can run it with xxx but most people find it impossible to play the game at these levels. You may want to go tohttp://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest and check out how your system rates. If nothing else it will give you a baseline to work from. I hope this has been of some help to you.

Hey Stryker,
I believe your link didn't work because it appears your comment ran into the link.
You need a space between to and http.

See if this works:

Can I Run It

I have never used that site, but then I don't have any low end systems.
All of my computers will run anything I throw at them.

you got nvidia card that supports using or more CPUs and more stuff that can shut down your PC you have to really pay attention to thoose settings

1st Uf u have AMD dual core check out that u have installed drivers that supports your dual core technology on your PC

2nd Check out nvidia panel and switch off CPU throttling ( i dont know exact name , then set perbuffered frames from cpu to 0 ( from default 3 i believe )

3rd READ and SET properly all thoose settings on NVIDIA PANEL and then try it more, it should work just put a little experimentig in there believe me

I had exactly the same problem about 6 months ago.
At first, it only happened with Vegas2, but then it started to happen with other games and eventually I had to replace the MOBO.

Some components had heat damage, but it only became critical in some games and graphics programs (Corel, Autocad).
