Hi i had the same, just bought it and it said that as well. you need to download a patch. this is done automatically, where you run multiplayer. but first you need to open some ports under your fire wall. go to settings - control panel - network connections - right click propertise on your broadband connection - advance - windows firewall settings - exceptions - add program, add brothers in arms - then click on brothers in arms so its high lighted and click add port - name, BIA, port number 40000, TCP, click ok. then go back to highlight brothers in arms, on the excpetions, and click add port again - Name BIA1 , port number 43000 , TCP. this should hopefully work, it did for me. However once i did it, it said there were no online game founds, who knows, once a coulpe of use join and create a server, maybe we can start up BIA road to hill multiplayer agian

I bought the game aswell, and wih me it also didn't find any servers. Also there are no filters in mp, so that's not the problem. When you guys start a server, please place a post here, with the name and ip please.

Hi Seregant,
What kind of internet conenction do you have? If you are behind a DSL router that does NAT (Network address translation) you will need to configure the router to pass those ports to your PC's internal address as well. To find your PC's IP, run a command prompt. (Select'run' from your Start menu and then enter the command 'cmd'.) Then in the command window type 'ipconfig' (without the quotes) and press enter. Take a look at your ip address. If it is something like 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1 then you are probably behind NAT. Open a web browser and go to whatismyip.com This should display your 'public' ip address, which is what the outside world sees. You will neeed to find a way to configure your router to map those ports to your internal IP. My Dlink DSL router has a web admin page for this. Your milage may vary. Good luck! |
