Hi again... I removed the s6patch.ini files from both bin folders and was able to successfully install the patch 1.7 so both the OC and the Expansion are updated.

To get the expansion onto my computer I had to remove my old OC copy of the game and install the gold edition copy of the game (both are legitimate copies). I selected the option for the uninstall program not to remove saved game files.

But my saved game files from the OC dont show up in the load game screen; however, I can select all the missions that Ive completed since upgrading to the gold edition of the game and loading the 1.7 patch.

I kinda feel frustrated. Any ideas?

quite often patches stop old game saves from working as if they have changed mapppes or ballenced mechanics in game a level that is half way to compleate could be running compleatly wrong to the new rule set.

So each of my saved mega cities are lost? All those hours of game play I was hoping to revisit on a whim... gone... The injustice!

There is no way to restore/update them?

Or is it possible to install two copies of the game on the one computer (one with expansion and patched the other not)?
