i built 3 honey keepers huts, looks like fertile ground, i built them in a forest area (is this 'fertile ground' ? ); do i have to build the huts near a honey symbol on the mini-map ? there is no such symbol; thanks

Have you built any bee hives? you need to build them as well, click on a bee-keepers hut and you'll see the hive building option.
