Hello,
I am trying to install 'Rise of an empire', the basic game, but has run into problems. The first time I tried, I got an error in the middle of the installation about a file that could not be transferred. Unfortunately I didn't write it down. I restarted my machine and tried to install Settlers again. This time the installation won't even start. When I get the auto-run picture up, I press Install, my mouse icon works a little and then nothing happens. I have tried using the setup.exe file on the dvd (in the Setup dir) directly, but I get the same result..nothing. I was wondering if there are some left-over files somewhere from the first messed-up installation and if those can cause my problems? How can I remove those, if there is nothing in my 'Add and Remove programs' about Settlers? I hope someone can help me out |

Chances are there will be some files left on your PC,if you arent confident in the registry,I suggest you go to Start>Search type in Settlers delete any files it finds, maybe also try a search for UBI.Just be careful to delete the right files if you have other versions of Settlers/UBI games on your pc
