Hi everyone. I'm playing Settlers 3 for the first time. I have a few questions.

Are you suppose to see dots in the tree shadows or should I tweek my graphics or something?

I didn't see an options button to make any changes to the game at all. Am I missing somehting?

How do I know how many materials I need for each building to be built? I don't see it anywhere when I click to build a building.

Can you zoom in and out? I really hope I don't have only one view.

Final question for now... can I change the color of my troops in the campaigns? Not sure if there were any mods for this game.

Hi,

1) I think you are supposed to see dots in the shadows, it's quite an old game

2) There's no options I don't think, but on the main screen (autorun) under the start button there is a setup button - clicking this takes you to some graphic options.

3) Haven't played in a while but I remember it definately does tell you what materials you need, just look around a bit more

4) Yes, you can zoom in and out, you do it by pressing hotkeys on the keyboard. Can't remember which ones, I think the official Settlers 3 website tells you somewhere.

5) No, I don't think you can change the colour of troops

F1 F2 F3 are different resolutions. Most probably 640 x 480, 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768 respectively.
