Start building up your wood piles quickly. I built about 6 and upgraded them all asap. Then start putting up the wooden wall. As you do that, put up a couple of other gates in front of the actual gate into the city. If they do get into your city, click on the building they are trying to burn down, and call out the fire alarm to put it out. You may loose a couple of buildings in the process, but this way all is not lost. Build fast and furious, this will give you money quicker than waiting on the church bells.

From there, it is a pretty good battle.

This is one of the best games I have seen in a while, and I have finished it. I am going to put it away for awhile, and come back to it. I hope they build more stategy games that is this good, and the music...LOVED IT. Great Job.

That sounds like a bug..restart the mission if it does not help
uninstall the game then re install and patch up to 1.006 =)

Out of all the advice, I'd say the most important thing is to not take territory. You can use your gold better in upgrading buildings, and you don't need the territory! You are not hurting for anything. I never build a wall around Montecito and I don't get attacked in my other territories because I take none.

Second, build a ton of woodcutters and supply the wood needed to the villages. It's easy to send them what they want, and it keeps you from having to help them for at least their first attacks.

Lastly, just build your army fast as you can and take teh initiative by attacking. Allandra is my pick for this mission. More info:
