Hello!
Here is an interesting situation - I bought today The Settlers 6 Gold Edition which contains "Rise of an Empire" and The Eastern Realm. I successfully installed both RoaE and The Eastern Realm. I’ve inserted back RoaE DVD in drive and try to run THE SETTLERS - Rise of an Empire - The Eastern Realm shortcut (both from desktop and Start programs), and guess what? After applying update here’s the message – “The disc could not be found. Would you like to activate "THE SETTLERS - Rise of an Empire" now?” Yes, I would so I click Activation. I don’t have activation code so I choose the option "I don't have an Activation Code and would like to receive it." Next screen is really interesting – “Please enter the serial number.” WHAT SERIAL NUMBER?!? There is NO SERIAL NUMBER in my DVD box. I’ve red hundreds and hundreds of posts in Ubisoft forum and there is no single explanation why Gold Edition doesn’t come with serial number. Can someone please explain me how to activate the game I bought when there is no serial number? Oh, yes, there were no manual in the box, and the box was originally packed so I don’t believe someone stole it from the DVD box and then re-packed it. And, no – I don’t have any imaging software (Daemon tools, Alcohol, etc) installed on my computer. Help, please.
Thank you.

Have you checked the back of the cover sleeve, or perhaps the back of a leaflet in the case, the serial key has been known to be printed there on Gold Versions.

Yes, I've checked the box all inside out and - nothing. Back of the cover sleeve contains exact image as the front cover sleeve, only in different language. There is one interesting thing - when I unpacked the DVD box, inside the box the 2 DVDs were packed together with some kind of leaflet between. But, this leaflet is completely blank, nothing is printed on it, there's no trace that anything has ever been on it (like a sticker, maybe)... If it means anything, on the cover sleeve there is text printed right above barcode:
"SETTLERS 6 ROAE UK DVD-ROM
MADE IN EUROPE". No serial number... What to do??

At this stage, all I can suggest is to either contact Ubi support, if you can provide reasonable proof of purchase, they may be able to provide a key, or you could return the game to the shop, and ask them to replace it with another copy of the game, but ask them to make sure the replacement contains a key.

Thank you for your answer. How do I contact Ubi support? When I log in to their support page and go to Support page -> FAQ -> Ask a question -> log in => message appears "The site encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later or contact us if the problem persists." I've been trying to log in for hours and nothing... I'll go back to the store to ask them to check for serial number in some other copy of this game. How can it be possible that I got this game without serial number??

Sadly its not unusual for people to buy games with missing serial numbers,I myself recently purchased a game for a friend overseas, luckily I opened it beore mailing it to find that the original game had a serial but the Add On didnt.

I guess when mass production is involved, quite a few slip through the net,its just a gamble as to who gets the ones without the serial.

You shouldnt have any problems returning it back to the store for a replacement.
