My biggest issue is they put this at a book fair at my sons school and he waisted his money. That shows you a company doesnt care when they go after kids that dont know better.

Hopefully when you get the game working you will retract that statement, which implies that UBI are targetting kids to sell games that dont work, that simply isnt the case, yes some players have problems, usually caused by a conflict with hardware/software on their PC,hardly the fault of the software house, but there is usually a way to solve it,that said there are also thousands of players who have no problems.

I got the insert DVD problem and I try what the above thread suggested. A Quick question, how long does it take to activate the DVD key online and offline? I try both activate online and offline and it not working. It keep say "Communication with server, please wait..." It been like 1hrs and it still stuck on that screen. I activate game online before and I'm pretty sure it don't take that long to activate.

If you've previously activated the game before, using the method I describe should only take a few minutes at the most, that's all it took for me when I checked that the patch 1.6 activation was working before posting that guide.
Maybe your browser has stalled, or the Tages server is down.

to all those out there , im sorry game is such a source of aggravation. im here cause i got same error message as you guys and ive read all posts on subject and in the end i got it to work .
first the post about the activation code (there are no O's so it a Q ) is correct
also the post asking you you're take the cd out of drive after installation is correct, after its installed and updated you dont need cd in drive anymore, so remove and then try and run game . itll ask you if you want to register or activate the game then at which point you put the code that comes on the sleeve and thats pretty simple . i kept getting same message over and over again prior to all this so i feel your pain but this should work for you . good luck to all , murphanig

The main thing to remember, if you use this method, Tages only allows three activations on different computers, so if you buy a new computer, or do a major upgrade, such as a new motherboard, it will use up another activation.
If you use them all up, you'll get a message that the activation was rejected.
All you can do then, is contact Ubi, and ask if you can have another activation.
So if you're in the habit of regular upgrades, or buying new computers, it's not advisable to use this method purely to force a "no DVD" hack, you should reserve it in case you hit incompatible DVD drive issues. Wink

This method was rendered obsolete, when they released Patch 1.71 as it removed the Tages protection from the game, so the game no longer needs to check for a valid disc.

If you don't have web access on the computer you play on, you can simply use any computer you have access to that does have an internet connection, just download and save the patch, then copy it to a disc or a USB flash drive, that way you can install it on your gaming computer.
