Hello everyone. I have played Settlers IV before and loved the game, I recently purchased a copy on Amazon.com that was new and everything about the installation went right, however when i click the desktop icon to play the game, the large settlers IV logo appears but nothing happens.....i would appreciate ANY help. Hammer

I almost forgot to say I have windows XP as well as a 2 year old Dell 8300

We get the same thing but, eventually, it clicks in to life - patience has worked for us. While on how do you get your Agave farms to grow anything? With Roman Vineyards you build one and off it goes. With our agave farms - nothing happens. PLease reply to ackershome@hotmail.com. Good luck

Which fatal error are you getting?

To save time try running S4 in the compatibility mode 98/ME this could well solve your problem. If not please post back with the error number,I need the 1st set of numbers before the X

Before I start my post i would like to say that i appreciate the help, also i am very impressed at how fast people respond to a post on this forum:

Now, getting to the number: Here's exactly what it says:
"Fatal error: Exception 0xc0000094 at 0x004e33f6

(And by the way i have already set the compatibility to Windows 98/ME: the same error came up)

Penny screams at the footnote to your post.

Fatal error: Exception 0xc0000094 is a classic one and the normal cure to it is switching to 98/ME, (hence my scream)Have you changed it on your desktop icon, and also in your S4.exe file in S4 folder?

If you go to www.settlersgang.com in the Tips and Tricks section, there is a good explanation about ships by Auratus. Smile

Open your Settlers4 folder and you need to right click the icon of the little Settler, select Properties then Compatibilty, you will see an unticked box under compatability mode, tick it and select windows 98 click apply and now load the game
