I downloaded two copies of The Settlers: Rise of an Empire Gold edition onto my desktop and laptop from gamestop.com. After a while, I learned of a map editor and found it, and, to my rageful (I've spent so long seaching forums, google, etc.) dissappointment, only shows a "Error caused this program to stop working " message on both computers. The only thing that I think may have been causing this error is that my settlers games are version 1.6.... and the editor is version 1.5.... I have vista, and the games came already patched as it seems. please tell me if this is the problem and how to fix it or if it is something else. Thanks !
