This is my version of what SMB is trying to do the only thing is Ubi deleted it for some reason despite the fact it had great ideas.
This is a post that I posted during the end of ROAN and I felt this is what they should do with a Naruto game and I still feel the same way.

1. Better Graphics: An Obvious and in order to achieve this Ubi must use a better engine than the Jade Engine they currently use. It's sad if a player rather look at the scenery than the characters.

2. More Characters: If Roan and TBB had more characters than it would have lasted a lot longer than what they have. Have characters that aren't necessarily important as a whole but do serve significance such as the 1st, 2nd and 4th hokages, Kid Kakashi, Anbu Kakshi, Hinabi, Hinata and so fourth.

3. Truly Unique characters: Roan was good because each character had to be used differently and truly had different strengths and weaknesses unlike in TBB. In order to get that true Naruto feel everyone wants you need to do two things! One, have the character modeled exactly the way he is in both the manga and the show, not what you think he/she is! Two, Every character is unique in their own way and deserves that recognition. For example in Roan everyone had different hand signs because they had different jutsus unlike TBB which has everyone doing in, down and up, out for their hand signs. Yawn boring and you dumbed down the game.

4. Strategy: Roan had surprisingly a lot of strategy because everyone had different chackra levels and so forth. I honestly believe the different chackra levels should return but just don't have such huge gaps in between characters.

5. Jutsus: Jutsus got boring in ROAN and TBB after a while. What's the solution? Have 3 to 5 different Jutsu cut scenes and randomize which one shows so it can be surprising and refreshing for the user as well. I believe the 3 jutsu bars were perfect, not necessary for 7. Also while a character is charging a jutsu show it like you do in TBB but make it more epic like a chidori/ Raikiri. While charging the raikiri the ground should break more and more the stronger it gets and the longer it's charged. Make Jutsus epic just don't over exaggerate on them like UNS did, make them fun but realistic to the series. Which leads me to my next topic destructible environments. Jutsus can be activated during anytime in the fight like Roan

6. Destructible Environments: Certain combos and jutsu should have an effect on the environment. Here are two examples,
Combos: Kakashi's head hunter, Kakashi goes under ground and when he comes back up he leaves a hole on the ground.
Jutsu: Itachi's grand fireball, When Itachi uses this the environment should be ablaze and if you're fighting around vegetation such as trees than the damage should be stronger and the fire should stay on the field depending on what level you did. Example: Level one= A few seconds. Level two= One minute. Level three= The remainder of the match.

7. Dynamic Dialogue: The game will be a lot more interesting if the characters knew one another or talked during a fight. Example: Itachi Vs Sasuke, The beginning cut scene they should both acknowledge who they are since they have such hate for each other, well at least in that part of the series. Talking while fighting, Should be more dynamic something like burst Limit's but with no annoying cut scene to interrupt the fight. Dialogue during jutsus: Should be the most dynamic since it's a cut scene.

8. Good Characters: Characters that are amazing in the show should be amazing in the game simple as that! Itachi will never get pwned by Sakura or Rock Lee, Never! Here's what I believe should be done, first return the stat sheet for characters in the game like you had in roan.
Kakashi:
Strength: ****
Speed: ****
Range: ****
Jutsu: ****
Chackra/ Stamina: ***

Itachi:
Strength: ****
Speed: *****
Range: ***
Jutsu: *****
Chackra/ Stamina: ****

Yellow Flash/ 4th Hokage:
Strength: ****
Speed: *****
Range: ****
Jutsu: ***
Chackra/Stamina: ****
Those were just a few examples. I'll make a post of more.

9. More game types: It's simple give us more than 1v1 and 2v2 give us free for all or easy to set up tournaments like the one you have for TBB off line play but have it for online play as well.

10. Customizable Characters: Everyone should have more than three justsus if they have more than three on the show. Now with this system you should choose out of the many jutsus you want (Max.3) that fit your playing style. Jutsus should be like perks of COD 4, WAW and MW2. Example: Since I'm an offensive player than for my Kakashi I'll have Raikiri, Double Raikiri, and Rasengan. With this system people can claim characters as they own. Example: My Kakashi is the best in the world.

11. Transformations: Each character should transform like in DBZ games. For characters like Kakashi or anyone else that has Genkai Kekkais than that should be their transformation. Example: Kakashi level 1= Sharingan. Kakashi Level 2= Mangekyou Sharingan.
How ever transforming has it's bad sides. Example when Naruto transforms to what ever tail form he losses health, the higher the level the faster his health decreases. Sasuke is the same idea for his curse mark but instead he losses chackra instead. This implies for every character able to transform. This will be done by simply pressing up on the D Pad. The sharingan and byakugan will no longer be jutsus but instead be Transformations. Transformations can be activated at any time.

12. Absolute Stamina Balance: Example, For each time you use a jutsu you continue to lose stamina and the more and more you use jutsus the faster you lose stamina not chackra (Chackra and Stamina are two separate entities.) How does this balance the game? Well if I was developer of a Naruto game I will have this system so that I can stop or prevent Jutsu spams. OMG! UnknownG stopping Jutsu spamming? No!?... Yes!? Well what the stamina system will do is when your stamina reaches it's limit your character gets slower, hits aren't as strong and you take more damage from hits and you take damage when blocking. The stamina bar should be invisible so that it can't be abused by people who will spam a jutsu than stop right when they are at their limit. The reason why I like this idea is because I like doing jutsus but now I have to think twice about over using them, there for adding a level of strategic but yet fun elements to a Naruto game not yet seen.

13. Two Different Type Jutsus: A brand new system I'll input is two different jutsu system. One being the jutsu everyone knows the Cut scene Jutsu where you hold down the left trigger and do your hand signs. These jutsus are your most powerful, use the most chackra/stamina and are the most time consuming. The other will be real time jutsus, these jutsus will be extremely fast to pull off but they do little damage. They also take away very little Chakcra/Stamina. These jutsu are different than Cut scenes because they run in real time and they can be subbed, Blocked or sidestepped. These jutsus will be done by using the LB button and than the corresponding hand signs. Example: I'm using the fourth I use real time Rasengan, I press LB and do the circular motion and the fourth will dash straight with a weak Rasengan. These jutsus have three levels as well but the bars are very close to one another.

14. Jutsu Clashes: I would implement this system to make the game more dynamic. Here's how it would work. For real time jutsus, however who ever button mashes the fastest or presses the right button sequences faster will win the clash. Everything will be clash able from Rasengan clashing to eight inner gates to Raikiri to shadow clone jutsus. On the off chance two players do a cut scene Jutsu at the same time than they will go into a hand sign clash. A cut scene will come up showing the two players and who ever presses the button sequence faster will win and continue with their Cut scene Jutsu. The button sequence represents the hand signs.

15. Camera theater: This should be implemented for two reasons enjoyment and for proof that a player won in clan matches. Than have a website where they can easily upload it. This leads me to my next topic.

16. Clan Support: This is the most important thing with Naruto games! The last two were enjoyable TBB somewhat. But they had no clan support at all making clan meetings and other clan oriented things difficult to do. As once being the leader of the Akatsuki Dantai and being the leader to so many great players such as Omni, Liquid and even Fayzon I know they all wanted to do different things with the clan to make it better or more interesting. With clan support there should be lobby rooms where clans can meet that hold up to 16 players. When I first started in roan in Team Konoha Assassins we had to meet on a demo of Triple A soldiers LMAO. Good old days. And when party chat came out Akatsuki Dantai had so many people way more than 8 and many more wanted to join, a lot more!
So this is were clan support comes in, very, very important Ubi.

17. Down Loadable Content (DLC): Well it's obvious both ROAN and TBB had either to little or no DLC at all. But if a Shippuden game is to ever come out than that should change. One of the first things I'll make DLC is the Kakashi Gaiden and Kid Kakashi as a character. Than make up some story line for the Anbu Black ops and you'll Unlock both Anbu Kakashi and Anbu Itachi. And you can make all the Naruto movies so far playable DLC for the shippuden game as well. And have the jutsus and costumes they used part of the DLC. Example: In the first movie Naruto use The Rainbow Rasengan, the second he used the flame Rasengan, and the third he used the moon Rasengan. Have those three unlocked for each time a movie plot is down loaded with the certain costumes they wore. You can even have characters in the movie that aren't in the series as DLC as well like the Snow Ninja from the first movie.

18. Subbing: Subbing should be the way it was in Roan with the timing of TBB.

Well that's it for now see Ubi you should " Hire me" Lol J/K Only quoting someone. So what do you guys think? Do you agree? Do you not? Do you think they are good ideas or are they great? Confused or if have a question about something ask me and I'll explain.

I'll put my stamp on this, even though I fear it will fall on deaf ears.

I think with the economy the way it is, most gaming companies are going ultra conservative, and side projects that don't guarantee a big profit (Like Naruto) will be taken off development, at least until it's assured that making a game of this magnitude won't be a monetary drain on the company.

That said, I just don't see Ubi making another Naruto game considering all the money they spent making the last two (at once) due to the amount of money it takes to make. Especially when compared to the potential gain by making another.

Now that I've said that, I really hope they DO make another, as I really REALLY enjoyed the last two, and really Really REALLY enjoyed the online community that both provided.

And I do hope they use the ideas you have suggested, either that or totally change the system to something along the lines of Final Fantasy: Dissidia. A fighting system like that on a next gen console with multiplayer support is a cash cow just waiting to happen. Just my 2 cents.

and indeed we need to catch up Unknown Smile I shall accept, honestly my wife is the only one who uses my 360 these days, so I rarely even check it, but I will knowing I have something worth while there.

i know son sumtimes i be for gettin and writing in gang letters and S**t but its all gud but yeah i support yo idea but let da stamina bar be visable so ppl can see when the other player starts to wear down and so you know when u close to yo limit

That's why it should be invisible. You should know when at your limit by heart when using a certain character for a while. Not only that if it was visible than it will only be abused.
