Baptized By Fire (BBF) has been around for a long time in one form or another; the PC division has been around for more than 6 years, and the Xbox division was created before Xbox live was even in place. Needless to say, we are not one of those ???start-up??? clans, or one that will just pop up and fade away, but a stable long lasting clan. We have a good core of members and leaders that understand what a clan is about and have a vision for the future.

BBF is a clan for friends to get together and play games cooperatively. BBF is a mature, honorable clan, which has high standards when representing themselves online. BBF is not just a clan bent on dominating the online games they play, but also concentrate on having fun with online friends in honest, cheat-free, hack-free, spam-free games. Our clan???s primary focus is on Honor and Respect paired with our skill and triumph in online game play. Through honor and respect we will stand out among all other clans, and our victories and domination in our online endeavors will only fuel our supremacy. We in no way tolerate cheats/hacks/or exploits, but strive to maintain an honorable community of skilled competitors.

We strive to make online gaming more enjoyable with our leadership and maturity. Xbox live can be plagued with unwarranted smack talking idiots that like nothing more than hearing their own voice and disrupting everyone else???s fun. Players with 1 and 20 records who talk about how everyone else is a hack/cheat/camper or ???gay??? or how much they just owned you (with that 1 kill /win they got) or the opposite with 20 and 1 records who just keep proclaiming how great they are and that everyone else is a noob (yea, we can see you???re good by your record). We pride ourselves in having mature and honorable players that can take defeat with honor and dish out victory with respect.

Our clan will be remembered by the respect they earn from playing honorably. For example- If a clan wins a clan match and constantly talks trash and belittles the other clan, they will be remembered for being jerks, not for being the better team. In contrast, a team that wins a match playing with honor will earn their opponents respect in that they are a good squad to be remembered and respected. Or if the clan looses and is whining about lag, talking smack, and acting like babies, the winning team dismiss them as a low class clan that is no wonder they lost as they are made up of losers. While if the clan looses with honor and acknowledges the winner as deserving of the win, the looser can still gain respect in the loss and will be looked upon favorably by the victors no matter the score.

We basically accept all new ???recruits??? on a probationary status. If someone is under-skilled they will not be allowed to play in Clan matches, but will always be able to play with other clan members. And besides, isn???t that what it???s all about- making new friends who you can get to know and play honest, cheat-free games with out all the trash that can plague Xbox live sometimes? Furthermore, no one is highly skilled (yet) at any of the new Xbox live games the clan will be supporting in the future. When someone demonstrates the proper skill they will be able to compete in clan matches. We are a Battle Clan, and will compete on clan ladders to become a dominant force in online gaming.

Every clan is only as good as it???s members, and it goes way beyond skill level. The more mature and honorable members are much more valuable to a large group than any individual elitely skilled player. That???s why the winning sports franchises talk so much about team chemistry, and others may talk about a superstar being a ???cancer??? to the team. That???s the reason some players are so hard to loose, when others are not even missed. We have a synergy here we are trying to establish in maintaining a level of excellence as well as the overall enjoyment for all members.

The only reason one would be dismissed from the clan is if they didn???t show proper support (like posting occasionally on the clan msg boards or never being online and playing with other members) or if they didn???t uphold the high standards of honor that the clan requires (always talking unwarranted smack, using cheats/hacks/bugs, showing disrespect to members or non-members alike, being a general @ss ).

If everything you read above is what you are looking for in a clan, we are definitely looking forward to having you as a member. There are basically 3 simple steps to joining BBF. First is to read and understand the clan charter. Second is to sign up on the forums so that we may communicate. Thirdly is to make a new post on the message boards to introduce yourself and reply with your Oath of Honor. At least check out the site and browse the forums to get a feel of the clan.
