#1) What you don't like about it and think should be removed?
- The ability to get credit for just playing and not killing/medding should be removed. - The way we get money to purchase items should be changed. I think the winning team should get more and the loosing team should get less. It should be item based like per kill, per med given, per canister collected, etc. - I like proxies and the challenge of clearing them, but agree with less items carried and more expensive to buy. #2) What features you like about it and would like improved? - like medals, but need more for class types and make them more difficult to earn. a. I don't understand the 100% for 20 rounds one... is that even possible without cheating? #3) What is missing and should be added? - an annonymous cheater report feature to include cheats, glitching, quick level up requests/trades - since it's about class types make specific credit features for that type to ensure teamwork. a. Meds - give credit like kills for meds or amps given. - I am taking a chance on getting shot helping another so I should be rewarded higher for medding. - Purple hearts should only be given to those who stood still for the med. Deaths shouldn't count. b. specs - give credit for jams, etc accomplished c. eng - give credit for doors closed or openned d. etc - people in a certain class type not doing their job get that medal type. - rank should go to 99 not 40 and should be kept and added to as you choose another class without loss. - I think spawn points should be goals added. other then the original spawn point add spawn points like conquest points, but every game type with the exception of survival should have some. This would give teams more gaols and help prevent spawn raping. - I think an online game type like conquest but with hostages and terrorists instead. Points awarded for not killing the package and the # you and/or you team collect. (helps with friendly fire practice)which reminds me.... - Team kills/murders should be HEAVILY punished in regards to money and rank level, as well as longer spawn times and even being punted per # quota. This includes proxy and nade kills... there needs to be good team communication. #4) General comments or things you would like to be changed. - I have more, but I'm getting writers cramp.... - I love the PEC concept, but feel you have your work cut out for you to make it a "clean" and effective tool. Good Luck guys, but please think hard b4 you get rid of it. Way all options. Maybe give us a breif idea of why it was created and what the focus was or is for it's future. Thanks for all your hard work and willingness to communicate with your fans. |

I feel if were going to have PEC, and I know we are, it should be made a big and intricate part of the online experience while of course allowing the option to play outside of it. IMHO, the PEC in LD was fairly basic and alot could be done with it. I think it should make the player feel like he is playing out a career and could serve almost like a story mode for the online portion of the game.
Anyway here is my P.E.C vision: 1. Character Creation: This would include a highly detailed creation for the physical look of the player from skin tone to body weight to facial structure and hair. At this point uniform choice is off limits and you will shortly see why. The next part of character creation would be to choose a lower level special forces group to become affiliated with, whether it be the army rangers, the marine expeditionary force, air force special tactics group, or any of a number of foreign services. This choice would determine the initial uniform options available to the player. Now is when you choose your class. Classes would consist of: Heavy/SAW Gunner, medic, rifleman, combat engineer, and electronics/communication specialist. Once that is complete initial skills would be distributed after uniform etc. is decided upon. Next the player would choose a Primary and a Secondary (yes, 1 weapon for each) weapon from a small list that contains weapons actually used by that special forces group and class (such as the m4 for Army Rangers or the Famas for the French Foreign Legion). That would pretty much conclude the character creation segment of the PEC mode. 2.Level Progession/Rank Progression: PEC would be broken down into 3 segments of 30 to 40 levels each. The first level is the basic special forces level in which the player is a member of the special forces group they have chosen. The second stage of progression would be the natural second special forces level for that character whether it be Delta Force, Navy Seals, GSG 9, SAS, etc. The third segment the character actually becomes a member of Rainbow. The first segment would be focused around building basic skills (based on 0-100 points rather than block slots) like accuracy, reload time, inventory management speed, concentration (the ability to remain accurate when all hell is breaking loose like grenades and overwhelming fire), etc. as well as basic class skills. It would also include the unlocking of more basic weapons and equipment choices based on class. The second segment would be focused on the final refinement of those basic skills and class abilities and open up even more advanced and specialized abilities. Also, most all of the weapons and cool class specific equipment available for a particular class would become unlocked during this time and the player would be given much more freedom in terms of their uniform and rig as well as aesthetic gear. Just like in real life. The final segment, that of joining Team Rainbow, would consist of opening new highly advanced abilities and skills as well as allow for some cross-class training where a player can choose another class to begin learning abilities/skills from (while retaining all that they have already gained). In addition special Rainbow specific uniforms and gear would be opened up for the player to purchase. Rank progression would be separate from level progression and would be based on the attainment of certain class-based goals such as a certain number of healed soldiers for a medic or a number of headshots for a rifleman etc. The goals would be protected from cheaters by a)requiring a certain number of players to be active in a game for it to count and b) requiring a certain number of shots fired/deaths on both sides that is commensurate with the minimum number of players. Gaining rank would open novel new equipment/aesthetic gear and could even give the player additional skill points to use. 3. Money: The ammount of money a player receives after a round would depend on a combination of rank and level with bonuses added for performing class specific duties. The higher the rank/level, the more money received every round. This would give the player a base amount of money that he/she can count on no matter what, round for round, and makes sence since the higher the rank/level the more things and more expensive things the player has to buy. As a side note, beyond the initial weapon the player chooses, all weapons/weapon attachments would have to be purchased. 4. Medals: Medals would be numerous (at least 50 and as many as 100, with 10-15 class specific medals) and would include multiple layers such a 100 kills medal, a 500 kills medal, a 1000 kills medal, 5000 kills medal, etc. just to give an example. The effects of receiving a medal would be similar to what occurs in LD. 5. Battle History: This section would be highly detailed and would give the player an overview of what they have accomplished within the game. Stats such as number of kills, deaths, ratio, hit percentage, head shots, body shots, shots fired, shots missed, explosives used, explosive kills, and number of times each class based ability was used successfully as well as medals attained, experience gained, rank, etc. GT: xSolidSmokex |

Sounds great and it's a well thought presentation.
But one thing i feel alot of people are forgetting is... This is team Rainbow. Not the Ghosts, or some army surplus group from Black hawk Down. And I feel Ubi are guilty of trying to change the foundations of Team Rainbow into something differant. There shouldnt bee too much, especially with medkits and all that ****. But working there way up into differant groups does sound impressive, If that does ever happen I just hope Ubi & Redstorm keep i treal, and concentrate on like-for-like facts on each group, without changing the whole system |

What is really annoying is not being able to change sides in multiplayer and not being able to start the round when teams aren't even.
This must MUST be fixed soon or it will die a horrible death very quickly Lifes too short NOT to smoke cubans |

General Comments: 1) First thing first, let us get back to a simulation (enough with the arcaded consol experience for kids); 2) PEC works as long as it can identify the user with distinct characteristics (features; patches; skins; custom guns; etc).
Changes to or cautions for PEC: 1) use the PEC concept in the single player campaign mode. I should be able to hear my own name during the game, perhaps the name of my own team. The credits should be used to hire smarter (more skilled) team mates or purchase better weapons during single player. 2) Use the currency to place more emphases on clean game play in multi player mode: for example, if someone quits the game or somehow sabotages their own team – then it should subtract a certain amount of their credits. 3) be sure that the medals do not detract from team play or create a “non-team-play†environment. Where players are no longer trying to win the game – but win personal medals. Dont forget ubi, this is about the team. |

Sometimes there is a sound glitch when the game starts. Sometimes it happens. You can hear your teammates BUT you can't hear your gun shooting. OR sometimes after you die, you respawn behind the map and have no way out. The older maps from Critical Hour and new wepaons/equipments should be available for DOWNLOAD on R6: Lockdown EXCEPT for the crosshair on Critical Hour

for multi player off line, it is not really funny that we have to unlock it by beating the single player. We are two at home who like to play together, on the same console.
Arghhh |

Comments and Concerns
1. Single player missions are good ( except for sniper mode inbetween some of the levels ) 2. Graphics are decent but could become better in future games. 3. I found the enemy was the same in all other shooter games i have played ( dumb and stupid until shot at ) 4. Weapons were decent but I still think they should add some heavier powered machine guns for a couple of the levels. 5. Autosave on PS2 is lame so dont bother with it, save before you die and don't worry about starting the level all over again. 6. Levels are very well laid out and overall i think the developers did a pretty damn good job. 7. I still think they should have automatic shotguns ( casue if you are stupid like me and chose the shotgun you got killed a lot faster ) 8. I absolutley despise the fact that you cant pick up weapons off the ground if your own gun is un-usable or out of ammo. 9. The whole Intel points thing confuses me ( so if you know anything about them tell me ) 10. It is one of the easiest games out there and i think its time i get a 360 so i can play vegas. |
