Hi,

I'm amost finished the game and I have only a few hairs left on my head because of this last sign before the endings. I have tried it almost 80 times so far and I'm about to throw this game in the garbage, so close yet so far. I have downloaded, at the beginning, a patch that makes it easy to draw using only straight lines. Proportions are ok, and all parts of the design are there (7 lines). The beast just won't recognize it, WHY? I'm told that it might be a game play problem. Being french, I don't know what that means so that's not good for starters. I've dropped the slate in so many places hoping for results after realizing it could not be the picture I drew. Can someone help me, my few remaining hairs are begging you.

Does the patch you mention allow you to draw only straight lines? The symbol on the flag contains some curved lines. In particular, the "eye" of the fish should be round (a circle):

Due to a bug in my game, my slate was blue which made my symbol easier to see.

Possible trick: instead of dropping the slate on the ground, try putting it directly on the pedestal. If you get the smaller whale symbol under the slate, pick up the slate from the pedestal and click on the small whale symbol for a link.

When you download the patch it also changes the designs you have to draw, straght lines only. It still looks like a fish but it's triangular, no more circles.

Nanoukmetal, I did that too to no avail. About the design, take away the eye and instead of having a round body it's an inverted V and two lines for fins, seven lines total.

I'm afraid I have no experience with the patch, so I don't know how exactly the symbol should look...

Oh well, I guess that's the end of it for me, I give up. If anybody who's played the game with that patch ever reads this and can help don't hesitate even if it's 2009. Thanks for trying. Goodbye
