I & the Bahro aren't doing too well on this one.
My fun meter pegged after 20 attempts to get the symbol to the keep drawn, with no luck.

Does anyone have clear picture of what the symbol is ?

I think something like this, less the dots:

Maybe this one will help. It does seem to be very sensitive to the relative proportions of the rectangles. Someone else suggested leaving the bottom line off the bottom box, but I don't know if that's really a surefire method.

John, try leaving the bottom line off altogether....it worked for me. Here's a link to some other's who've had this problem. Read the post by Leonor.....that's what worked for me.

Ok I refuse to count this as cheating when it makes you look from so far away. On my computer, even with the highest resolution it looks like the top one has a straight edge on the left and an oval edge on the right, and the second big box below looks completely like an oval. I gotta say I could really have done without the slate in this game so far, there was only 1 puzzle in the whole age, that is if you don't count turning the wooden handles and seeing smoke come out of the stack...

After about 25 attempts, the drawing that worked for me had an extra vertical line in the bottom rectangle. I think there is a bug here. I hate to use spoilers.

Ok, this is what I've noticed about this symbol. When you look at it from the shore, the symbol is tilted back so the large rectangles look thinner than they actually are. If you draw them like this the bahro don't recognise them. There is a snow bank to the right of where you stand on the edge to look at the keep and if you climb up it and look from there, you can see that the rectangles are thicker than you thought. If you draw them thicker, the bahro will recognise them. Hope this helps. Dave

I found that if you draw the lines of that bottom box to the bottom of the slate it works. You know you have done it right if you cannot draw the horizontal line linking the two vertical lines.

I've just completed this section and found all the above very interesting. Eventually it was drawing the lines from the bottom symbol to the base of the slate which succeeded for me. I had drawn it this way for many times with no success. Up to this point, after putting the slate down on the ice I had turned left and moved away to "encourage" the Bahro to appear, though with no success. However, I discovered that if I turned 180⺠and moved back towards the pedestal and then turned round, I found that a Bahro invariably appeared, even if it did stand and scratch its head (as mentioned by others)and disappear. After a couple of attempts, though it reloctaed the slate into the Keep. I add this in case, like me, others have tried all the suggestions and they don't work. It may be worth trying this move as well. Incidentally, I had just finished writing a few uncomplimentary comments about the Bahro in my journal (they are so ugly!) that I do wonder if they wouldn't collect and deliver my slate through sheer spite!

I am still frustrated. Surely the creatures will deposit the tablet on the Keep one of these days. But I have tried at least twenty times and they just leave it on the ground for me to pick up again. Aaaargg. Any hint or additional help would be greatly appreciated.
