Hey everybody. A patch is released today for Myst V for Intel Macs. Here are the patch notes:

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This patch is designed solely for users that wish to install and play MYSTâ®V: End of Ages on a MAC Intel system. This patch addresses the Myst V: End of Ages installer issue for users running on the new MAC Intel systems.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This patch DOES NOT make End of Ages into a Universal Binary application. It merely circumvents a missing feature in the version of Java available on Intel-based Macs, enabling you to actually install the game. This missing feature has since been addressed by Apple in one of their OS X updates, so if you are running 10.4.6 or 10.4.7, you shouldn't need this patch to install the game.

Please note that if you DO need to use this patch, it can be temperamental... the advice from users it to just keep trying it until it works.

NOTE:
Before applying the patch, please check that you have an additional 2GB of free space on your hard drive. This extra space is only needed during the installation process of the game.

System requirements:
Intel Processor based Mac, meeting the minimum system specs found on your Myst V box/manual
Hard Drive: 2 GB free space + Myst V: End of Ages requirement of 4.5 GB
DVD Rom: Required
Original Game Disc: Required

Patch Instructions:
- Insert your Myst V: End of Ages DVD in your DVD rom and then close the installation window.
- Launch the patch installer by double clicking the DMG file and clicking on the patcher icon.
- Follow the installation instructions once the patcher launches.
