I goofed earlier and had to go back to before Noloben cuz I hadn't unlocked what I thought were 2 bridges. Thought that solved it until I just got back to Laki'ahn (my 4th age)after redoing Noloben(my 3rd age) and find another bridge locked. Any way of saving this ... or do I have to start completely over? Thank you.
I had hoped if you went back corrected your mistake but saved your current game that you could then go to that current game and proceed -tried that and it didn't work for me - should it have? I liked the other Mysts more and especially Uru. |

Welcome to the forums.
Edit: I have not replayed Myst 5 for a long time but I beleive there is a way around your problem without using saved games. Go to Derebo and use the pedestal with a book outside and in front of the bubble. It will take you back inside the great shaft where you will be able to get to any of the other bubbles to unlock those doors. You only will have to play the great shaft puzzles to get there and you won't loose your progress. From memory, I beleive that the Noloben access is down at the third level with the floor elevator fully down. =========================================== When you go back to a previous saved game, you will have to replay everything following that saved game. This is so for any adventure games I have played so far. This is why we always have been often told to....save, save, save. I agree with you about Uru complete Chronicles being more fun. Since we cannot save the normal way in Uru, I have a secret way to make saves in Uru. I created a special folder(+ sub folders) in my documents where I copy my progress by making a copy of the "sav" folder at any spots I felt like saving my progress. |

Thanks for your answer ... I was afraid of that and not knowing when I didn't unlock the bridge or where leads me to believe the best thing to do would be to start over from the beginning.
It's been a while since I played Uru and thought I could save but guess not with your tip. Would the extension be "sav"? And, an FYI re the 2nd step of the windmill in Laki'ahn - checked lots of walkthroughs and they varied in how many times to pull the right lever from once to twice to thrice, but NEVER 4 times and in the end (after many, many, many attempts) 4 times is what worked for me. Obviously, I had got there before so when I went back I must have skipped a step about unlocking the bridges. |

Just looked through my Prima book again and realize that Jamin did the last bridges in Noloben in a different order. So perhaps not all is lost and I can go back to the Noloben Keep then down into the Great Shaft, etc., which I hadn't done on this last run through.
Sure hope so. |

I remember having long discussions about the windmill puzzle(and problems) and it all depends on how you play it. You could check this thread... http://forums.ubi.com/eve/foru...361025793#4361025793 + this post with a special image... http://forums.ubi.com/eve/foru...591051364#5591051364
I am not certain what you mean by "extension" but everything played is saved. The only difference is that you always come to Relto first. If you are talking about files extensions, I never use the clipboard copy/paste but use the left side Windows menu "copy this document" option. Here is a link to an image showing the first 15(of 32) special sav folder. (I use them very often when I help members asking for help) Image of my special Uru CC saved games folder...click here This message has been edited. Last edited by: nanoukmetal, |
