Your statement doesn't sound the least bit interesting BirLu. I'm sorry you wrote it. Frown

I feel it apt at this time to confess something. I know I know, I should be in the confession forum, but I can't take it any longer.

I am Syrup.

Did you know Simba from the lion king was the original inspiration for the Bahro in Uru, and End of Ages?

It was a curious inspiration, but Rand decided they had the same kind of charm under pressure.

The long awaited all singing all dancing Bahro rendition of "I just can't wait to be King" was removed at the final stages of beta, sadly.

"Can You Feel the Love Tonight" made it into the game as an easter egg though.

Well I must say I very disappointed with two of you here namely...BirLU and Fibber.

Firstly BirLu...must you give away ALLL my ideas???!! Yes mine...and not Robyn's. You know he's my cover right? By the way...don't you mean MYST VI and not IV.

And you fibber...I'm quite familiar with that excellent source of inspiration...but seeing how you are Syrup...you know what or rather who the true source of inspiration was behind MYST. I must also say that I am highly disappointed that you made this information public for everyone to know. For all everyone knew...you were dead...this is why I insisted on using that muzzle...no more treats for you and I'm having you put to sleep first thing in the morning.

You can't stop the signal!

I still know how to drive, I never lost the skill. You can't teach an old dog new tricks, or CAN YOU?!?

You may think I'm in the kennel, all nice, and quiet. You may THINK that, Robyn, or should I say neo...1 if you prefer, MR Anderson.

But I'm already out of my kennel. I'm out, and I'm taking the budgie with me. We're going to live with the Bahro. There, maybe, we will be understood.

For we truly just can't wait to be King.

A-ha! Now your cover's gone, neo.../Robyn.
HA! I waited for that a long time.
I have a cover too, y'know, I AM YOUR MOTHER (yes, that's a shock, right) and I tried to find out where you're at when you're supposed to make your homework (like working on the patches).
And I wondered WHEN the since last year promised sketches will finally be send to me...no wonder you had no time with all those never ending messages you wrote. Now listen to me carefully, son, go back to your studies and fix some bugs! And let me say, I warned you a lot of times of Syrup, he always wasn't the kind of dog I'd like you to hang around with; all that long hair and the music and his Harley and too many beers. I knew he' be a bad influence for you one day!

And don't you talk to me so nosewise, y'hear? Me not knowing that I was supposed to write VI instead of IV! Do I have to remind you that your grandfather was Caesar IV? And maybe that the above was just a Freudian slip because I miss him so much? Sniff, since he's gone I didn't have the opportunity to speak Latin anymore, especially not with you lazy boys! You still have to work on your Greek, too!

Look at Rand, he's so cute, always has been, he always listened to me and did serious studies, he even wrote books!

Syrup, it's a shame they let you out of the kennel. I don't know where this country is heading to lately...you let my boy alone, d'you hear?!

THAT's IT! Mom...once I put Syrup to sleep...I'll have the perfect use for that extra muzzle...

You always did like Rand more than me and this is the proof. You can't even pay attention to my ideas for MYST ...clearly seen in confusing MYST IV with MYST VI. You're just a bad mother...there I said it.

By the way that spanking smiley is HILARIOUS!

Nobody pats me anymore. It's all putting downs and kennels, and no treats or walkies.

Just because I betrayed you all, I can't feel the love no more?

Can you feel the love tonight? No, no I can't. Angry Blue Guy

heh heh...

Awe...poor Syrup. In another day you won't have to worry about who is patting you or not. I'd let you live but your "mother" currently is using your muzzle. That's why the words came out like that above.
I promise I'll give you a treat before you go down though. It's been nice knowing you and thanks for inspiring the "Sirrus'" character for me. Just think... when you get into doggy heaven you'll be up there with Lassie.

Lassie, huh? *sharpens claws*

There has to be another way! It's not humane! Or... canane, or something.

*begs for life* as a dog I'm particuliarly equipped for that.

I haven't read any of the above posts.
I don't know who Lassie is nor do I understand the word heaven.
I'm not writing anything here today nor will I use any smilies.
But I'm certainly responding to Footprint's post.
In fact, he will answer this post within half an hour.

Ha! You were right! I'm really Footprint replying within the half hour to the above post. Just in disguise, is all. And if you believe that one, I've got some nice lunar property to sell you for cheap.

I already got my piece of Mars, so thanks but no thanks...

Actually I just sold lunar property myself to fibber so he doesn't have to join Lassie in heaven.

I'm glad Fibber bought the property from you. That's a relief that he doesn't have to join Lassie. Lassie has bad breath, you know.

I'm very pleased with my new property. I intend to open a cheese farm and chase moon cats.

Oh, fibber, you really were a long time in the kennels, right?
Don't you know that the species of moon cats extincted shortly after 1969 because the astronauts whirled up such a lot of dust with all their dancing that the cats all died of severe lung silicosis.
After that, the moon mice population grew steadily to an amount of 27,54 trillion in 2000 (I don't have the ciphers for 2005), so I guess a cheese farm would be a great idea; you can expect lots of customers, I would say.

Wow, I'm glad I set up this thread on the Myst V forums. The one on the Uru forums was getting too verbose. Too bad nobody is posting here though. Maybe I shouldn't have put it here in a private topic.
