I finished Todelmer (I think) and the pedestal only have 2 symbols on the middle when there's an empty space for one more. I managed to finished the Taghira age with one pedestal symbol missing, so I'm a bit worried about an empty space on a pedestal. Is that it for Todelmer?

It's OK. There really is one symbol less to find in Todelmer (2 symbols to transport you to other pillars, 1 to reach the Keep).

In the first months after End of Ages was released, there was a lot of speculation whether it contained an Easter Egg, like the previous games in the series. As far as I know, none has been found, and the general consensus seems to be that Cyan was under too much pressure (both in time and financially) to be able to afford spending time on one.
(There is a model for a strange bird called Urwin in the Myst 5 files, but it doesn't appear in the game)
