According to Mowog, it possible to have a 3D effect while playing MystV and Uru with the help
of ED glasses. They are not available yet around my place and cannot test them. See Mowog post and his next one below...click here |

Just following up. Yes, nVidia provides stereo drivers that work in conjunction with the eDimensional glasses. The effect in Myst V and Uru is very impressive! The only downside is that the cursor isn't set up to work in stereo, so you see two cursors. But playing Myst V or Uru in stereo is pretty stunning. It seems like you can see so much more as you move around, because the sense of depth makes it much easier to differentiate objects and scenery at various depths.

Question: for people like me who have an ATI Radeon, will we still be able to get some kind of effects ?

Nanouk --
Check out this page on the eDimensional site. Looks like stereo drivers for ATI are available! I see that eDimensional now offers support for LCD monitors too. Cool... they didn't support LCDs when I got my glasses. Hi Mowog,
Thank you very much for the help. You are very kind. Since I do not want to buy stuff over internet, I am still looking for a dealer who would order them for me. For unknown reason, the ones I have met with so far are not interrested. |
