I have all the Myst games except Myst V and was thinking about getting them all. Is Myst 5 a good idea or is it lame as I've heard.

Rating any game is something very subjective.

It all depends about the person making the call,
most prefered type games or if that person has hidden interest/agenda when making a comparaison with other games.

If you are patient enough, read previous threads and or posts in this forums and you will find many different opinions.

My best suggestion to you, would be to play the Myst 5 demo. (try a Google search because my old Ubisoft link is not working anymore)

You didn't say whether you liked all the Myst games... I would guess that if you did, you would like Myst V. It is an interesting link between the other Myst games and Uru, in that you get to see a little of D'ni.

If you really liked all Mysts, I think you should get it.
You still might find it dissapointing compared to the others, but I would definitelly not give it up.
It has some very beautiful elements in it, but to me it always looked very rushed, poor of plot, and - I'm personally a sucker for graphics, and that's without any doubt the lowest graphic-wise. However, you are free to "roam around" (although I hardly found it satisfying in any way).
My favs in Myst are Riven and Revelation (2 & 4)
