I have found 2 Bahro symbols. The first one i entered is a circle at the top that has 3 lines connected to 3 circles at the bottom.Went to that pedestal and looked through the telescope and found another bahro symbol.

Not exactly certan what happen. I thought the symbol is a circle inside of a larger circle. I drew that on the slate and the bahro took it. A symbol appeared at the far left of the pedestal at the linking bubble. Its not the symbol i drew. I touch it and ended up at another place, saw Ester talk, I was able to climb up the stairs at either side, I was also able to climb down the stairs. Saw the linking bubble with the blue glowing tablet. I touched it and the slate came down forward. Cant take the slate, but i can go back to Todelmer. This room with the stairs, I can not find any entrance or another room. Am I in the right place or, did I so something wrong. The pedestal in this room and at the beginning of Toldelmer only has two symbols- one the far left and on the far right. I am certain that there should be more symbols in between the two. What should I do next, I am very confused here.

The symbol recognition system is not perfect, and you have become the victim of one of its flaws. It has mistaken the symbol you drew for another one, and so you ended up directly at the end of the age. (Also see the section 'Known Bugs and Other Game Issues' in Posting Guidelines, Known Bugs. You could continue with the other ages, and you should be able to complete Myst V. But you have missed part of the age. If you want to do that part too, you could try look through the second telescope again and study the symbol you see there very carefully. (By the way, have you aligned the telescopes correctly?)

Alternatively, you could go back to a saved game (i.e. picture in your journal) made before you drew the second symbol, if you have one.
