Figured out symbol and purpose at the dais, but as I explore island, I see no other things to do or connections to Island with the cave door. Ive searched the cave several times and all I find is the path to the other side. Am I missing something?

Ah yes, you've only just begun! Keep looking around on the beach and the base of the cliffs and rocks. There are several ways to get to other parts of the age that you have missed. One is up and one is in!

Got to the top of the hill and arranged the stones. Even got to Esher's lab. Can't seem to see a way to power lab or bring down the ladder to get to the top. Any directions that don't give away too much?

If you listened to Escher's speech once you got into the lab, he gives you a clue. If you missed it, read it from the blue book.

A amandment on my last post. I managed to open the rock and reach the end of this age but i'm missing symbol 3 on the pedestal. Is it correct that there should be 4 symbols in this age

There is the symbol that makes the rain, there is a linking symbol that takes you to the pedestal at the bottom of the lab, there is the default linking symbol that takes you back to the start of the age, a linking symbol that takes you to the top of the lab where you can see the rock door with the tree symbol, and a linking symbol that is in the cave past the rock door so that you can transport the symbol to the keep...which is inside the rock door.

The rain symbol makes it rain. On the "Front" side of the island near where you linked into there is an arrangement of pots. When it rains those pots fill with water and you can see symbols reflected in them. By looking through the windows of the lab and comparing those symbols to what's on the little windows that open and what they correspond to on the wall within the lab, you determine how to set 4 stones so that the entrance to the lab opens and closes.

I do believe Noloben only has 4 pedestals total, counting the link-in point and the Keep pedestal, so there should only be 3 illuminated symbols on the link-in pedestal. Some Ages have 4, others only have 3.

I solved it by the try and error method, up down etc. The rain thing seems the quicker way though.
working on the cabelthing in todelmer now. Its keeping me awake longer and longer, great game.
