I have played Myst, Exile, and Riven. Myst itself was pretty straight forward with clues readily available to you while playing the game. Exile and Riven (my all time favorate) required occasional visits to the forum....a real forum where no one gave away the store, just gave you a little help. Now here I am in the End of the ages. I have made it to Noloben before my system crashed and left me no way to get back. Too bad. But, I have found this fourm very lacking with no user interactive hints. Just some very, let me say, VERY bad walk thru spoilers that are so inacurate that it is sinful. Well, purchase of the $10 complete walk thru gives you a complete answer to the puzzles, I remain perplexed by the inability to get thru the game with out system crashes. As an old retired software developer myself, this is disgraceful and very misleading to the package requirements for running the game. Disappointed, oh well NASCAR season for 2006 will soon be starting and I can go back to that instead of this insidious game I desided to try during the off season.

Hi Tom:

Appreciate your comments but you're in the wrong forum! The Spoiler forum is where all the help is, not General Discussion.

There's major help there with links to tons of different walkthroughs and hint sites, as well as individual support for specific challenges throughout the game.

As far as your system issues, if you post your problem on the Technical forum there are wizards there like Heimdall who can, and will, help you troubleshoot those issues.

Sorry you are so bitter. We didn't do anything to deserve your rant! We are just a bunch of gamers here who volunteer and like to help but we can't help when you don't ask!

I didn't mean to sound bitter. Just stating the facts. Forum is not up to par, and released software that is supposed to run in the enviorment discribed on the package that crashes, says that it really was not tested in the total invironment that was described before it was released. Listen, I was in the software release business for years. This kind of situation would have been very unacceptable. But I must admit, that in my gaming experiences, it has been seldom that I have purchased one, having all of the required hardware installed, per the package, and have the package work with what I have. Just don't think that this is a good thing. Not bitter. Just looking for some rational help, and did not find it here as I did in previous releases.

Sorry to have pushed your button too hard.

Tom
