First time post on this forum, been reading them for quite a while tho!, recently got Myst V, aftering playing Riven and Myst III Exile. Really enjoy the games! awesome

I have only been playing Myst V for a few days now, i have reached the Nobolen age. I have accessed the lab, and thats about it!
I am still puzzled with the Slates and Pedastals, i have noticed the pedastals have different logos on each of them? like the ones in the lab, compared to the one in the bubble on the beach? what are the difference?

Please NO SPOLIERS!!! i am enjoying the game, if it gives the story aawy or anything, just give a clue lol,

Have you been to Tahgira yet? (Tahgira is the age you can reach from the top of the Great Shaft). If not, it might be a good idea to do so - it provides an introduction to the way you can use the slate and the symbols on the pedestals.

ahh i havent been there yet, i have only been in Noboblen and the place you start, the shaft area.
