While the slates in EoA are a pretty good idea, I found that doodling on them is NOT a good thing.

For a game that values, even NECESSITATES 'exploration', it seems a bad idea to have the slates control so much of what happens if one inscribes the wrong (well, right) thing on them.

*SPOILER ALERT*

I was in Noloben, under the dais, looking at all the symbols and the 'model' of the lab.

I drew the rain symbol and quickly figured out a portion of the puzzle.

The problem? I also decided to try drawing the layout of the lab on the slate. A big circle in the middle, with four smaller ones around it... you know what happened of course. *POOF!* Slate got linked into the Keep at the end of the age and I missed everything in between. I mean yes, I could have still played things but why? The thrill was gone.

While it is partially my own fault for drawing on the slate with no real clue, I find it really annoying that the game allows us to cheat to the end of things without ever needing to 'activate' portions of the sequence.

Once an age is completed, I can see where zipping around (using the slate/pedestal symbols) is a good thing. But beforehand? Was a real bummer to have put such an obvious symbol on the slate and miss out on what looked like a real challenging and fun age.

Dear Citruslounge,
a little piece of advice...when you'll explore Todelmer, don't mess up with the slate either.
