Please I need help with the cable car in Todelmer. I have cranked the handle a dozen times to tension the cables but now the cable car has disappeared from view altogether.
And what's more clicking up and down those turning staircases to and fro from the bubble is making me nauseous. Now I know why I gave up on this game some months ago. It makes me sick! I am going to coin a new illness - Click-nausea. Do you think I can sue Ubisoft? Even when I got the cable car in place I could not get into it. Please tell me how to bring it back and how to get into it. |

The crank is used to put or remove tension on the cable to manually move the car.
To bring it back, you need to move the lever on top to the opposite side and crank the car back. (the number of crank actions depends on how far away you previously sent it)
P.S. Make certain that the power is on inside the building for the cable car's door to open Spoiler... x x x x x x x x x x x x x once you have figured out everything, you will need the help of a Bahro to travel to the other end with a special "time/travel" symbol drawn on the slate. For your nausea, you could try a Gravol's pill, like people who suffer from car travelling nausea, do. This message has been edited. Last edited by: nanoukmetal, |

Hello,
I went back into Myst 5 and sis some tests with the in game graphic settings and I beleive I have found a way to reduce the motion sickness. I suggest three option changes in the Controls Tab: 1- Use the "Free-Move (Advanced) 2- Reduce the Mouse sensitivity (to be tested for your taste. Mine is below 50 %) 3- Tick the mouse drive box. Edited: Arrows will still work. Here is an image of my new settings... |

Thanks for the tip about the mouse controls. I was in 'Classic' mode and when trying to turn on those stairways my cursor would career all over the place - that is what was causing my nausea. With the settings you suggested and with the mouse sensitivity turned down even lower than you suggest the problem was sorted. Thanks. I also completed Todelmer successfully.
