Question:
Okay it may be a simple fact of confusing myself... I have been drawing the cave symbol over and over.. it saves on the slate but not on the pedastel(where i really need it.) I have done it in the bubble out of the bubble, reloaded a saved game before i tried it, restarted the game totally but nothing is happening.. any hints, help or sarcastic comments would be welcomed

At the moment, I cannot guess what cave and cave symbol you are asking about. Can you be a bit more specific so we can help you ?

umm.. the cave is the the one where you turn the stones on top to open the doors.. and the symbol that im thinking of looks like a TNT detonator with a vertical line at the bottom of the box

Since the bahro will not go into the cave, you must place the slate on the pedestal with the "detonator" symbol yourself after drawing it. That should make the symbol appear on the pedestal in the bubble.

I think I am beginning to see what the problem is. But first, I will ask you a few questions.
1- Have you explored that place and found a piece of paper with another symbol ? If you did find it, did you make note of it ? (a screen picture would be best if you know how).
2- Did you listen very carefully at Esher's speach where he tells you what you must do to be able to go on top ?

Now for the slate problem : after leaving the slate on the pedestal(with the TNT detonator ) in the cave, you are now able to explore higher up and when finished, you must take the slate to the outside bubble where you can now draw the symbol you have seen on the inside pedestal. If your drawing is accepted then you should do what Esher told you and after that, you can use the outside bubble new symbol to link back inside the cave.
