I'm stuck on Todelmer. I've already worked in red room, has explored the upper part of the first island and its contents - I've visited already in other two islands. In the last island I've been in tram station and already rode trolley to the island with coord. (4,5) in DNI. I've been in upper part of tram station of the third island saw a symbol (like reversed "T" with two cicles. ) Drew it and left it ("disappered" it). When I returned to pedestal of the first island the slate (or amulet) was earased. I made my way to red room and used the most-left telescope to set on (4,5) on DNI and clicked on greeen. Only saw part of planet. Nothing more special. I HAVEN'T seen the fourth last sign in this game (keep in age). I even tried to drop the slate nearby the telescope it didn't help it either. It has been hours and hours and I even used spoilers to make me advance. Also, I'm sure the drawing is correct. Can somebody pinpoint me on the problem?

Welcome to the Myst 5 forums, adikm2007.

In Todelmer, you only get three symbols on the pedestal of the main starting bubble.

The idea here is to bring your slate to the space station and drop it in the keep bubble on the lowest floor at the space station.

I am hoping I did understand well your problem.

Can you please confirm if you referred the lowest part from where I entered to the tram station on the third island. I did it, anyway. And still nothing. I see Bahro take the stale and returned to the red room I still can't see any fourth sign (keep in sign)

What's more: I can't use trolley anymore. The cell is from main island, still using hand on the handle doesn't do anything. Is it key to the problem?

This is the symbol for the space station.
I had the impression you had already visited it.

As for the tram and if ever you need it again, you would have to crank it back all the way.
From memory, it is at least 50 times with the handle/lever

Of course, I've been there, nanoukmetal, to set up the previous two. As for the last puzzle, I've been here dozens of times. I drew a drawing I saw at the tram ("revered" T with two circles) dropped it nearby the most left telescope and I saw Bahro standing nearby where I dropped it. However, I couldn't get close to the telescope, Bahro was standing there and even if I left the island and returned he was standing there and I couldn't make him leave. The stale was dropped at the floor glowing blue, but I couldn't get to the telescope since Bahro wasn't leaving and standing there like frozen and clicking on him on nearby didn't help. Only when I QUIT the game and restarted I could restart all process from the beginning. I am afraid there is a bug in this part of the game. I am bit frustrated since I really hoped I would enjoy playing Myst 5 game. I hope you could help me to understand if something has went out wrong, because until the last phase everything went out well enough.

I beleive you have not read my answer carefully enough.

Once you have been there, you should have gotten the space station's symbol on the main pedestal in the starting bubble (at the beginning of the age). You need to bring back the slate over there and then use this symbol to bring the slate up to the space station and drop it on the "Keep pedestal" up in that space station. (inside the bubble, lowest floor)

If, after visiting the space station, you did not get that symbol on the pedestal in the bubble at the beginning of the age, then you have indeed found a bug.

Note: In every age there are two bubbles.

1- The one at the beginning of the age.
2- A second one, the Keep bubble at the end of an age.

I beleive that your problem came after you dropped the slate a second time for the same reversed T symbol. You were not supposed to do that a second time. The poor Bahro did not understand why you tried that.

Here are the steps to follow for the tram to telescope island puzzle, to the space station Keep bubble.

1- Make the reversed T symbol for the ride. The Bahro will bring the slate back to the starting bubble.
2- When you have stopped at the middle station, check for an extra hint.
3- Go on with the ride to the telescope island and find the telescope island symbol.
4- Use the telescope island's pedestal to go back to the starting bubble.
5- Draw this telescope island symbol on the slate to get this symbol on the bubble's pedestal.
6- Use one of the red room viewer to get the space station's symbol.
7- Go back to the starting bubble, draw the space station symbol and drop the slate in the bubble and backoff far enough.
8- When the Bahro is gone, go back in the bubble, take the slate.
9- and link through the space station symbol to get up there with the slate.
10- Drop the slate on the pedestal inside the Keep bubble up there.

Thanks for your way to try to help me but you me made more confused than I am right now and it made me mode more unclear for me. I'd better to form some comments (some with questions) if you can answer them it will help me better understand the last phase of the game:

1) After drawing the "reversed T" symbol with two circles, I have drop the stale in the red room of the first island nearby the most left telescope. Yes in the rood room/No, not in the red room/



2) I think the reason I can't complete is because I sent a trolley to the first island and I should make it back to the third island, draw the symbol on stale, drop it nearby the tram station and then take the ride by trolley to the first island.
According to the walkthrough of Gamesover (spoiler) it has been written that I have to drop the stale after drawing the symbol I saw at the tram station (reversed T with two circles adjacent to it) and take the ride by trolley. But, the trolley cell is right now at the first island and I can't make it leave. No matter how much I click the lever action from cell the trolley doesn't move. I myself can get to the trolley. Clicking on levers at the tram station doesn't help me at all.

3) The only bubble looking object I see it the bubble teleport at the start of the age. There are no other looking bubbles. Also, the fourth symbol (keep in-age) doesn't appear on the most left telescope.

If you can just say in simple words where should I drop the stale with reversed T symbol and how to make the trolley return to the third island to become available again- because I fear that might be the key to my problems. The walktroughs don't make mistakes if it is written I have to drop it at the bottom floor at the trolley station and take the ride it means I have to get trolley back and redraw the symbol.

This time I could successfully send a trolley back to the third island (lever's problem). I dropped the stale at the tram station and got in the trolley and rode back to the first island, while in way, seeing Bahro taking the stale. Back, then in red room, I saw that the most left telescope is set up to (4,5) in DNI - I have the table of numbers. I clicked on the right buttons (the most right) to zoom and still nothing happened - I didn't see any fourth symbol at all nor I saw the second bubble besides the one and single used as a teleport. It is starting to really get me seriously, because we're talking about basic assignments here and nothing extra.

Hopefully, you can shed some light on what is wrong in this gam.e

Ok, I beleive I can see what your are missing.
To get this last symbol, you have to bring the slate with you at this last viewer, enter the proper coordinates, draw the time symbol (for the space station, two big circle plus the small one near the top), drop the slate in front of the viewer, back off and let the Bahro do its magic to get the link at the main starting bubble.

Btw, to be able to crankback the tram, you would have to change the direction of the movement by moving the lever on top of the crank from the left to the right side, at the other empty station end.

Finally, I can sigh with a relief: I think I've finished Toldemer. I understood that I should've followed the Gamesover walkthrough that I have to drop the stale after drawing reversed "T" with two circles exactly downstairs at the third island as you descend down by a ladder to the trolley. As I activated the trolley I saw white fog in front of me where Bahro was standing and big star movement. As I returned to the first island I headed back to the red room I saw that fourth symbol that resembles three circles: one inside another and third on the arch.

When I got to the fourth place with that symbol (looks like a circular building and yes, I saw there a second bubble with a stale with sign I draw - looks locked out. I heard Esher talking "Well done..." I understood I must've finished the age already.

Is there some sort of hint as you to the third island where I should've dropped the stale? How I was supposed to know where to drop the stale if no reading the Gamesover walkthrough?
Right now, I've returned to the Great Shaft and found another linking book. Still don't know which age it is. I'll try to be more attentive to the age and walkthrough. It seems to me Myst V requires more patience to play.

You need to bring the slate up with you, look around the bubble for an entrance, and click it (drop it) on the new pedestal up there.

The hint is very small and is found in a Esher's
speach.

How were we supposed to guess the reversed T was a time/effect action ? I have no idea. Maybe the answer is in one of Yeesha's book, inventory top of the screen.

I just went into the game and checked the books and did not see a hint.

I hope you are good at drawing because the Bahros can be hard to please at times.

If you see him scratching its head, it means he does not understand your drawing (usually, right proportions)

That's it - I moved to Taghira (that icy and prison age). Immediately I started to draw that complex object on the floor mistaken that it has some key to the development of game. Well, I was wrong.

Drawing is intolerable! It's enough difficult to draw straight lines rather than repeating it. Drawing is one of the worst definitions in Myst V.

Well, if I have problems in Taghira I'll post a new thread.

Now, you know why many players did not like Myst 5.

Before selling the game, they should have tested it much longer and more carefully.

Prepare yourself for a few more headaches.


Btw, what you call a stale is in fact a "slate".
