Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but if Cyan is still in business would you like to play a Myst prequel that maybe deals with Sirrus and Achenar when they were kids? I haven't read the books (but have played all the games)so I'm not sure about the previous storylines, but I'm sure a game and storyline could be created.
I'll be first in line to buy it, if it ever happens Kara |

this is a good idea but i really wouldn't care for it. the myst series is definately dead. It should have been dead after revelation. After URU and Exile, Revelation exceeded all my expectations and pleasantly surprised me. I though "What a great way to end Myst." But then I heard about Myst 5 and i felt like the contentment i felt with revelation wouldn't be copied. Alas, i was correct and with this failure of a Myst game, the series is finally dead. A prequel would have to be in old Myst version and would need much improved storyline for me to even consider buying it.

Personally, I thought the series should've ended with Riven--perhaps followed only by Uru.
But to call EoA a failure? That's pretty harsh, I've actually enjoyed every single Myst game. EoA was pretty good, I thought. -------------------------------- I like Myst 5. I like Uru. I like Realtime 3D *and* Prerendered graphics. I like game history more than I like RAWA history, and while I think Myst 3/4/5 were great games, I think it would have been best to end on Riven and move to Uru. Any questions? |
