I'm at the fighter hut on the beach, the one with the row of boulders to the right. I know I'm raising the boulders correctly, I just can't see what it's doing. I enter the hut, but the back of it is open already and i don't see the tunnel I'm supposed to find. It looks to me like the hut is wide open, counterweight boulders or not. What am I missing?

Did you check around the beach ?

Since you're using a walkthrough and you already know you're supposed to find a tunnel, then looking at the platform and the rocks and the platform is open-air, wouldn't you deduce that the tunnel must be through the rocks? Check around the back side by the water.
