I've tried this about million times but i can't get to the maze!!

i draw the "sing" symbol from yeesha's journal on the plate, and stand on the elevator. i can see the second floor but before i can step off, the elevator goes down. i set my options to "free move" so i can run before it goes down, but it didn't help.

is this some kind of bug or am i doing something wrong? plz help me!

This quote tells me you might have the wrong symbol.

no, i'm sure the symbol is fine because the bahro stays longer than if i draw another symbol. but it's not enough...

If you have the proper symbol from Yeesha's book #7 and if the hint "0 0" is right, then it would mean the Bahro does not like your drawing.

Next time you draw it again make a save before dropping the slate (on pressure plate while facing the end wall) so if he does not like it, it will be less trouble for a new try.

Try making the "match figure or silhouette" with a bit of arched back.

And do not stop to check/see what the Bahro is doing.

Typical me, since I needed the HD-space I uninstalled the game as soon as I finished it 2 hours ago and now I can't check the journals for logic. Have to ask here instead....

I had mild problems with this one but solved it in a different manner. I used a diagonal line that the bahro would not understand (which for me was the longest I kneew they would stay in front of the slate when they were scrathing their heads ) and then I "jumped" up and off just before the thing started to move down again. I had to try it a few times before I got it right but since the bahro left the slate it was not very bothersome. It only works though when you are in mouse navigation mode #2.

Now my question: I did not use any of the 3 slate symbols in Yeesha's journal throughout the game. I just forgot about trying them out. I understand the one for Laki'ahn makes the bahro sing. What does the other 2 symbols make them do?

One of them is a 'friendship' symbol: a human and a Bahro facing each other. This symbol isn't necessary in the game, but if you draw it and drop the slate, the Bahro will make happy sounds.

The other one depicts a Bahro and a snake. This is an extra clue for a puzzle in Noloben. It frightens the Bahro.
