I remeber reading in these posts that I should be able to see into the large telescope from the small, but I can't figure out how. I thought I had all the scopes aligned properly and have been "down" in the building and moved the gear shift and pulled cable lever, but nothing seems to make a difference.

Please someone tell me what I am missing? A spoiler here would be ok, if there is no other way. Thank you.

You're not trying to look into the large telescope, you're trying to look through the machinery to something which is obscured if it's not aligned properly . Look around in the small scope and see if there's anything in your view that may be blocking the line of sight to more distant objects.

Al, thanks, but I figured all that out. But one thing - the tram ride was a bit disappointing.
