I was just wondering... will Myst VI (6) be pre-rendered like Myst IV (4) or will it be real time 3D like Myst V (5)..

To be honest, I prefer pre-rendered graphics. It feels much more realistic and makes the atmosphere very rich, especially when theres real actors in the game.

I know that pre-rendered graphics has it's draw backs, but with computers getting better and better, I think we could see even better pre-rendered games coming out (until it's no longer necessary). The thing that I liked the most was that Myst IV separated itself from all the other ordinary 3D games.

I really enjoyed playing Myst IV, but when I tried out Myst V, it just didn't feel the same for me... I hope the next myst is pre-rendered, even if it's 20 GB :P

The thing I loved most about Myst 4 was that It didn't feel like I was playing a computer game, and if I got stuck I could enjoy the scenery.

What's your opinion?

Hi Alexn87,
Welcome to forum. As far as your question is concerned, I doubt very seriously there will be a Must 6. Cyan, the original maker of Myst is now working full time on their new MMO, Urulive an online game thru Gametap. The only way a Myst 6 could be possible is if another company gets the rights to make it. If you have played Uru, Ages Beyond Myst or the Complete Chronicles edition, you might want to check it out in Gametap. It is different from other MMO's. There is no fighting or killing, you can't die, there are no levels to do. You have a community with which you can interact with and puzzles to solve in different ages. You will receive some rewards for accomplishing and finding things. Such as clothing you can wear and additions to your main home age. Try it, you may like it. To join Gametap costs about $9.95 and avaiable in US and Canada. If outside Us and Canada, there are some Countries that still can play. For more info, check out mystonline.com.
