Try as I might, I am unable to find any of the Myst V saved games on my PC. Looking into the Myst V Folder indicates there is no sub folder for saved games, yet when I insert the game dvd, I am able to access all my saved games. It appears they are somwhere on my HD, but where?
Any thoughts here?

Take a look at C:\Documents and Settings\<your_user_name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Myst V End of Ages\sav\Stor.

Thank you for the response. Tried this, but can not find the saved games, although I can play them so they must be somewhere. Would you know the file extension?

The extension is .data or .dat, but you can narrow your search to
GlobalState.data or slot.dat. These files are found in each subdirectory under \Stor.

Search all of your hard disks or partitions, if you have more than one.

If you can't find the primary files, search for:
-- Descent.data
-- Direbo.data
-- Kveer.data
-- Laki.data
-- Siralehn.data
-- Tahgira.data
-- Todelmer.data

No luck here. Looked into the Myst V dat file directory; but no saved games there. There is no sub folder named storage. Perhaps you might show me what a complete saved file "front and extension" looks like. I have copied all of my Myst saved games, including URU to a new PC except for Myst V. Guess I will have to play the game from the start.

Thanks

Now I'm confused. You looked into the Myst V dat file directory, as in "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Cyan Worlds\Myst V End Of Ages\dat"? That's not the correct folder!

Was this the result of searching *all of your hard disks and partitions* for either GlobalState.data or slot.dat, using Windows Explorer?

If not:
-- a. Close all open applications, and open a Windows (not Internet) Explorer session.
----- 1. Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer.
-- b. If you don't have Windows Explorer set to view hidden files and folders:
----- 1. On the top task bar, click on Tools > Folder Options > View.
----- 2. Under "Files and Folders", click on the Hidden files and folders - Show hidden files and folders radio button to activate it.
----- 3. Click on Apply.
----- 4. Click on Apply to All Folders > Yes.
----- 5. Click on OK.
----- 6. Close Windows Explorer, then open another session. You can now see hidden files and folders.
-- c. Click on Search > Other search options > All files and folders.
----- 1. If you don't have a Search button, on the top task bar click on View > Toolbars > Standard Buttons.
-- d. Type GlobalState.data in the All or part of the file name: box.
----- 1. Check what you typed for errors.
-- e. For the "Look in:" box, select C: or Local Hard Drives.
-- f. Click on Search to start the search.
-- g. Note the path(s) to the folder(s) found, which should be indicated in the Address toolbar.
----- 1. If you don't have an Address toolbar, click on View > Toolbars > Address Bar.
-- h. Repeat for your remaining hard disks or partitions, if necessary.
-- i. Close Windows Explorer back to the Desktop when finished searching.

Heimdall G, also neglected to mention in my initial search, forgot to refine search to include hidden/system files, After doing this they were located. Thanks again.
