I finished the game once on OS X and went back to Noloben via a saved game to replay with my kids. (They'd gone to bed when we reached Noloben the first time.) So we replayed the ladder, went up and looked through the laboratory windows. The problem is that none of the 4 pedestals around the lab will rotate, although we looked at the symbols reflected in the rainwater in the cups and everything.

When I stand facing one of the pedestals, I can click with the grabbing hand on top of the pedestal, but the "hand" cursor disappears when I try to drag and reappears waaay outside on the edge of the screen when I "let go"... During the drag I can hear the sound of the pedestal top turning, but visually it doesn't move. Since I can't set any of the pedestals around the lab to the correct symbols, I can't open the underground passage into the lab, so it's impossible to get in.

This seems to be a technical problem requiring a patch or some kind of work-around. Has anyone else seen this? At this point, after trying several things to try and reset Noloben, the only solution seems to be to reload the game and play K'Veer, Taghira and Todelmer through again to Noloben from the start, which I don't really want to do.

Game files seem to corrupt rather easily in this game and I don't believe it has anything to do with your platform.

Don't you have another Noloben save game like of the bowls or somewhere in the lab you can load?

Also, I'm sure you've already done it but make sure you quit and restart your mac and the game and maybe try loading an old save game first just to start the game, then go back and try to load the one you're having trouble with.
