When I heard the opening of MYST V and heard Atrus' voice,I thought he was making an oral suicide note, which I duly noted in my journal. I felt SO sad as I had really become attached to him and his family over the years. I wonder how you are progressing in the game and how you are finding the comparison between Esher and Yeesha, via her journals? It's difficult to decide between them, don't you think? How far are you into the game? There are lots of puzzles to solve and none of them really make your final decision any easier (OK, there are some which may sway you one way or the other). When I reached the concluding episode and had to make a final decision, I thought of myself in the original MYST, standing in the small room behind the fireplace in the Library trying to decide between the red book,(Sirrus) the blue book (Achenar) and the green book (at the time - unknown). It's all nail biting stuff Mr Cube; in a way I envy you your quest as I've now completed mine, having travelled a ten year journey from MYST Island to ?- enjoy your nineteenth nervous breakdown! I gave up on Myst V as I got frustrated (not to mention bored) with the slates and pretty much every other aspect of it, so I haven't seen the obligatory end dilemma that they have in every Myst game. I have to say though that usually they're complete no-brainers, i've never agonised over any of them. I don't remember a single point whilst playing the original Myst where I thought it would be a good idea to free Cirrus and Achenaar. They were clearly untrustworthy from the very beggining. If the dilemma in 'End of Ages' is as tough as you say, it would make a nice change. Well, i'm sure i'll try again with the game at some point and I can see for myself.
