I have made it to the second pedastal in the Laki'ahn arena, I have raised the pillar to the second and third level settings but when I re-arrive at the pedastal with or without the tablet it somehow senses that I am on it and drops back to the lower level again. I have tried exiting onto the second level as the pillar is falling but it hasn't worked and I end up back on the lower level and the pillar raises back to where it was set before I linked from the other location. I could use somekind of a hint or short walk-through on how to accomplish the desired location, I have explored all other possible locations in the world and Still have not found a way into the building from the front or from the back. I'm stumped? Please help.

Hint 1:

Try to work out how to raise the pillar so that the top is exactly level with the walkway.

Hint 2:

There is a place very nearby where you can weigh yourself (with or without the slate).

Hint 3:

Try to combine Hint 1 and Hint 2.

I weighed myself before raising the pillar to the next level and then found that I could raise the pillar without the slate in the arena to the level that I needed it. Then once I have retreived the slate and warped to the bubble and back to the pillar in the arena (with the weight set on the adjusters in coorispondance with what the scale showed when I was stepping on it with the slate) the pillar goes back down to the bottom

Dave, should it not be the weight of the slate instead the weight of the pillar ?

When you go on the scale, you should get a view of four icons that tell you how to set the scale by opening or closing four apertures (letting sand out or stopping it if open). You have to set them as it is shown when you are on that scale with the slate.
