Okay, in the "hands-on article" it says that Yeesha says"If you are looking for my father, his time has passed" Im presuming Atrus and Catherine are gone. This is horrible, The last time we saw Catherine was Exile, and Atrus never said goodbye, come on Cyan, let us one last glimpse of the family. Are they dead?

Maybe Yeesha just means Atrus got too old and had to retire from the D'ni-saving business, so his time has passed and the burden was transferred to her.

But I think he's probably dead, as is Catherine. (And their little dog, too! )

Hopefully Yeesha's diaries or something will tell us what happened to them, living or dead. Surely Cyan would not leave us hanging without that kind of closure!

I was at Mysterium and they showed us a clip of Atrus writing a letter about Catherine being gone and about how he was feeling lonely becasue Yeesha was off somewhere. If you go to http://www.fcurve.com there is a clip of Yeesha making the speech when she says that Atrus won't be coming. There is also a speech by Esher.

I got EOA yesterday and watched the intro avidly as I always do. Nearly had me blubbing over the keyboard

It's very emotionally charged and I'm sure that a lot of people are going to have a strong reaction to it, be it good or bad.
