I bought a long overdue new computer and as a treat I also bought MystIV. I've played the last 3 without any problems. anyway. The computer had an integrated Nvidia card installed. Everything ran fine thru more than 1/2 the game (oh and i did install both the patches) until I hit the Mangree totem puzzle. Everything froze. there was a loud continuous beeping and then my computer just died. I had to do a complete restore. I have just installed a new video card. a Nvidia Geforce 7600gs. I'm a little afraid to try again. What do you think?

I fail to see how a piece of software could destroy your computer.

I have GE Force 7600 and I am running WXP. I haven't had any problems with the game, or any other games while using it. I installed it 8 months ago, and It's run all my Myst games with no problems, and I have ALL the Myst games. Go ahead and try it.

lisamterp,
If you try Revelation with your Geforce 7600GS and have video problems, install NVIDIA's ForceWare 91.47 driver as detailed under Installing NVIDIA Drivers, "5. Here's the driver installation procedure.", in Myst IV: Installing Video Drivers With Win XP. Heimdall Semper ubi sub ubi |
