Hi,

On our french mirror site, they do not have an expert so I will try posting a question here in case somebody will feel like trying to help.

The Myst 4 gamer did a Myst 4 installation and when he clicks anything in the menu, his screen will minimize to the task bar below.

any idea what could be wrong ?

I asked him to do a dxdiag test.
In the mean time, the only infos I have are...

Pending his DxDiag report, I'd recommend that he re-install Revelation from a clean boot, as detailed in Myst IV: Clean Boot Install/Re-install With Win XP. He should pay special attention to the Overall Windows and Hard Disk Tune-up section and the Installing and Re-Installing Revelation, "1. Preventing Installation Problems - General Comments" section.

I had this same problem. It had to do with my dual monitor setup - I was able to fix it by disabling the secondary monitor.

I would guess it had something to do with the warp coordinates for the mouse cursor, but that's just a guess.

I also had the same problem. I have a Geforce Graphics card and updated to the latest nvidia drivers (www.nvidia.com). This fixed the problem and I didn't have to disable my second display! Happy

Yes, the latest video driver may correct this problem.

Especially older NVIDIA cards, however, do not play nicely with the latest drivers. In that situation, an older video driver is the solution. (See Myst IV: Installing Video Drivers With Win XP, under Installing NVIDIA Drivers.) And disabling the secondary display may still be necessary!
