When playing Myst I get odd patches where there is no detail. I could cope with this up until I reached Spire, where the whole of the Age is like this. It is unplayable.

I'm on a laptop with an "Integrated SiS661GX graphics card"

Device : SiS Mirage Graphics
Chip : SiS 661 Rev01

I have DirectX 9.0c

Welcome to the forums. Your SIS graphics card is not supported by the game. Check system requirements in manual.

Well the rest of the game works fine (pretty much) but as soon as I got to Spire everything balls up.

Is there anything I can intstall to bump up my graphics/compatability???

Since you've got a laptop, the chances of being able to install a video card with a chipset supported by Revelation are very slim!

But it may not be impossible. Check with your laptop's manufacturer.

Nah 'fink I'll leave it be...too much of a faff for one game tbh....though I'm very disappointed to get all that way and not be able to finish it. All my other Myst games work fine so its a bit of a shame to have a big hole in the plot....

Just make the next one compatable with SiS plz?Y_Y

The next installment of the Myst series is Myst V: End of Ages. This game has been published on both CD and DVD:

-- Myst V: End of Ages, Standard Edition (CD, Windows only)
-- Myst V: End of Ages, Limited Edition (DVD, Windows and Mac)

Unfortunately, neither version supports your SiS chipset.
