Hi, perhaps you can help I seem to be missing the floating stone that is in the gears. I have taken a screen shot of this and its not there. I use the hand very carefully and I get the grab hand and the tap tap I just cant find it. ( i have looked up the cheat pictures just to make sure i wasn't going crazy) Is it possible its just a glitch. And if so, how do I go about fixing it. I have reduced my number of save files and i only have like 8 pictures saved at this time as I perfer to write down most of my stuff, and use images for the more difficult images.
I love this game just as I have loved all the myst games. Some how or another I missed this game when it came out.....Shame on me. But what a surprise when I found it!!! I was so excited and still am!!! Please help me get my rump past this part of the game as its getting flatter and wider the longer I set here!!!! Thanks again... Nvr
Heres the picture I took of the gears and the supposedly "stone"

You don't see the small rock (nor the big one I guess) because the puzzle has already been solved.

Now Im begining to see whats going on. I had a heck of a time getting thru the Mangrees/Camoudile puzzle. So frustrated with it I finally found someone with a saved game. My thoughts now, that ive been thru several things (that appear to be solved already)is that this persons save file had alot of other things completed and saved to this file. Because Im now seeing that half of the things Im suppose to be doing are done already totally throwing me off with the game. So, Ive started a completly new game and will finsh the camoudile puzzle on my own if it takes me a year to do it. I thank you for your reply, and you are right these things have already been done for me. GROANING, sorry to have wasted your time, but I was really getting confused as to why some puzzles were so easily solved and some already solved for me.....Thanks again. NVR

A few minutes suffice for the Mangrees puzzle. Not a year.

I suppose your right I just get frustrated and make it harder then it is. Im not as young as I use to be playing these games and my patience is shorter these days. Nvr.

Nvrsleeps, be sure that you have the two patches that were developed. The links are on this board somewhere.

Just decide to settle down and enjoy observing all the little details the designers put in for the different Mangrees. Different facial expressions and mannerisms if you call one when it cannot get out, for instance. Once I decided that I was interested, then the impatience to simply get the puzzle completed dissolved.
