Greetings:

I recently had to reformat my PC and therefore reinstal Myst4. I did backup my saved games prior to reformating and kept them aside. Now that my PC is back and running, I tried to contine my game from where I left off, but it won't load the saved game! Can anybody offer any suggestions as to what I may have done wrong here? I do hope that you can continue after a reformat??
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you return the saved games back into the folder where you got them, after the re-installation?

Hi..

I did return my saved games to the proper directory after installation. Once I log into Myst again, there seems to be no way to begin playing where I left off!!
Is there anything that I perhaps forgot to do?? If anybody can offer a solution, I'd really appreciate it.

When you are looking at the Options book, and you click on "Load Game," what do you see in the book?

Interestingly enough...
I had a hunch today, I started all over again just to save the game. Once saved, I was able to open the version I left at prior to reformating!! Well, can't explain it, but it worked.

Revelation’s default game save folder is C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\myst4-revelation savegames, which contains the saves as *.m4s files plus options.m4o and default.m4s. Starting a new game and doing a save automatically ”re-registers” default.m4s to include any saves that are already in the \myst4-revelation savegames folder. Thus, what you did restored access to all of your saves.
