I own Revelation. I installed, everything looked OK, no errors. Doesn't run. Any word on Leopard/intel Mac compatibility???

Had the game installed prior to upgrading to Leopard. Haven't played it yet, but I did start up the game. So far so good.. I was able to see my saved games. I will let you know next time I play how it goes.

I just installed Myst IV on my Leopard/Intel MacBook Pro and it works! I had to fix the execute permissions on the game binary file, as mentioned in another thread:
http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/580100736/m/5471024314 Paraphrased here: Open Terminal Type: cd_ (that's "cd" followed by a space, no quotes) Drag the Myst4.app icon into the Terminal window, which will give you the path to the app Press return. (on my system, the full path is /Applications/Ubisoft/MystIV/myst4.app - fact is that I had to add "/Applications" to the default path offered by the installer to keep the game under the standard app folder) Type the magic line: chmod +x myst4 Press return, quit Terminal. (original post has Myst4, my file name was all lowercase) I don't think this is Leopard specific, looks like a general Intel Mac issue (likely Java installer doesn't set exec permissions since the PPC JNI code doesn't work). |
